SPi Publishing, a global provider of content outsourcing solutions to publishers and information providers, announced today that it has been named the leader in ‘Print and Publishing Outsourcing’ by the Black Book of Outsourcing. The Black Book of Outsourcing, which is a Data Monitor Group Company, is a widely recognized survey produced by the Brown-Wilson Group and the Black Book Research. Produced annually, it measures client satisfaction with their BPO service providers in 11 different sectors.
The 2009 ‘Print and Publishing Outsourcing’ rankings were derived from survey responses from more than 600 senior publishing industry professionals. These executives were asked to evaluate their service providers on 18 key performance indicators including Innovation, Client Relationships, Technology, Customer Care, Data Security, and Breadth of Offerings. SPi ranked # 1 in each of these categories as well as in 5 other categories — sweeping the top spot in 11 of the 18 key performance indicator areas.
Speaking about the ranking, SPi President and CEO Peter Maquera said, “This ranking is a testament to our continued investments in our people, our processes and our technology and reflects our ability to deliver high quality, customized solutions to our customers through exceptional customer relationship management and sustained operational excellence. Using our robust technology platforms, our experienced staff routinely produce top-quality deliverables for more than 100 publishers in the US and UK. We thank our customers for their support and look forward to continuing to serve them in the years to come.”
Added Rob O’Dell, President of the SPi Publishing Business Unit, “We are delighted to have been recognized by our customers in this year’s survey. Our goal in serving our customers is to use our deep domain knowledge of the publishing industry to provide end-to-end solutions that help improve our customers’ operational performance and bottom line.”
