IBM has won a multi-year contract from Consist Software Solutions with a potential revenue in excess of $200m to enable Consist to standardize its applications on IBM software to enable the company expand to new markets including the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, Japan and South Africa.
Under the deal, Consist will provide its clients in the financial services, telecommunications, energy and utilities, government and healthcare industries with new software applications that embed IBM’s software portfolio including DB2, Cognos, WebSphere, Rational, Tivoli and Lotus.
The company has announced two new software applications, ConsistADS and ConsistBIS, built on IBM DB2 software to help customers efficiently develop, deploy and manage applications across the enterprise and make more informed business decisions.
Rob Thomas, vice president of Information Management at IBM, said: “Clients today are looking for technologies from trusted partners who can help address their most pressing business issues. The combination of Consist and IBM technologies provides an innovative platform companies can use to grow their business.”
Last month, IBM won a seven-year 55m euros ($82m) strategic outsourcing contract from Finnish IT banking services provider Samlink to enable it to focus on core IT banking service activities.
