Wipro Sees No Impact from Dubai Crisis

Indian software exporter Wipro Ltd. doesn’t expect the Dubai crisis to have any impact on its operations, a company executive said Tuesday.

“We continue to be positive on Middle East growth,” Suresh Vaswani, the joint chief executive of Wipro’s IT services business, told reporters on the sidelines of an industry conference.

Dubai World, Dubai’s largest corporate entity spanning real estate, ports and leisure, late November announced a six-month standstill on its $59 billion debt.

Mr. Vaswani added that Wipro, India’s third largest software exporter by revenue, is looking to set up more software development centers in China.

“We are addressing even Japanese customers from China delivery centers,” he said.
