EquaTerra, a business advisory firm known for helping companies optimize internal support functions across the globe, today announced that Terrie Rollins, a strategic technology professional with 30 years of experience, has joined the company as executive director of its Information Technology (IT) Advisory group. Rollins possesses expertise in enterprise and technology transformation, knowledge management, outsourcing, technology and knowledge strategy and integration, collaborative technologies, and organizational change management.
EquaTerra’s IT Advisory group, which delivers both consulting and sourcing advisory services, partners with its clients to provide efficient, effective and practical expertise to address their IT and outsourcing challenges. “Corporate America is littered with the wreckage of financially sound initiatives that were crushed by poor technology solutions and implementation,” said Rollins. “Clients today are facing challenges in sustaining a competitive edge, and they want innovative ideas where technology is the enabler to enhance services, increase speed to market and reduce cost. This has led to what I call the ‘technology transformation superhighway,’ and clients demand technology-savvy executives who can guide them through large, complex initiatives that often require a multiyear commitment.”
Rollins has extensive experience in both the commercial and public sectors. Before joining EquaTerra, she worked for Booz Allen Hamilton as the executive responsible for the U.S. Defense IT Collaboration Solutions Governance and Strategy team. In this position she managed multimillion dollar consulting services programs, including those for the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army and the intelligence community. Other career highlights include serving as the Chief Knowledge Officer, Federal Systems Division, for Unisys Corporation; Chief Information Officer for Howrey LLP, a recognized intellectual property litigation and antitrust law firm; President, RMR Technology Group LLC, where she was an executive consultant to commercial, consulting and public sector clients; and Accenture, where she was the West Coast Practice Director for the Knowledge Management IT Reengineering practice and held interim CIO roles for a multinational high tech company and the largest west coast food service distributor. She began her consulting services career with Arthur Young and Company as the lead project manager for its MIS IT Reengineering practice.
Rollins is a recognized enterprise and technology transformation and knowledge management thought leader, a published author and is currently co-authoring two books on the cross road of knowledge management and technology transformation. She is the Industry Chair of the Federal Knowledge Management Working Group; serves on the Women’s Advisory Board, Girl Scouts Council National Capital Region; and is a Council Member of the Research Advisory Council on Human Capital Management at the Aberdeen Group. Rollins is a Registered Organization Development Professional.
“We are honored to have such a highly credentialed executive join our IT Advisory group,” said Peter Iannone, EquaTerra’s Executive Director, Americas. “Terrie’s depth and breadth of consultative expertise will be a significant asset to our clients making strategic IT sourcing decisions.”
