Computer sciences near key resistance area

April 28th, 2010

Shares of Computer Sciences Corporation  are trading very close to calculated resistance at $55.7 with the current price action closing at just $54.12 placing the stock near levels that make it difficult to buy.

Computer Sciences Corporation  provides consulting and information technology (IT) services to industry and government. The Company provides consulting, systems design and integration, IT and business process outsourcing, applications software, and Web and application hosting.

Computer Sciences’ current stock range is defined by current calculated support defined at $50.51 and by the resistance level at $55.7, the stock is clearly over-extended from support, making it difficult to establishing new long positions at this level.

Traders don’t have a clear entry point for Computer Sciences, as the stock is well above support, however, as the stock pulls back towards $50.51 it will definitely provide a reference point to establish a trade. On the other hand if the stock decides to break above resistance level at $55.7 then traders will get an opportunity to enter Computer Sciences stock by establishing a position as the stock moves to a higher range.

Sibers opens Russian IT Outsourcing destination for Australia, by IAOP

April 28th, 2010

Sibers®, the leader in providing software development outsourcing solutions from Siberia, Russia, announces that IAOP® recognized the company as Best 10 among service providers for Australia and New Zealand region. The 2010 Global Outsourcing 100 annually ranks top outsourcing providers from around the world. These rankings are based on applications received and evaluated by an independent judging panel organized by IAOP.

Notably, this selection makes Sibers the first company from Russia that serves Australian outsourcing needs. Australia and New Zealand have excellent outsourcing practices and according to the previous years’ Global Outsourcing 100 lists almost all requests from the region were handled by Chinese, Indian, Malaysian and local providers.

“As the economy recovers, partnering with the world’s best outsourcing providers and advisors will be more important than ever,” said IAOP Chairman Michael Corbett and chair of the judges’ panel. “The Global Outsourcing 100 and The World’s Best Outsourcing Advisors help companies easily identify those partners that will help them emerge as leaders.”

Siberia is a new outsourcing destination for Australian companies. Distinguished as ‘Silicon Taiga’, this region accumulated innovative minds and many software companies. Clients of Silicon Taiga companies get benefits of Asian proximity and close timezones and European quality and attitude.

Rob King, CEO and owner of 2Hippo Pty LTD, initially a Sibers’ customer, now a representative for Australia, expects many Australian companies will be choosing multisourcing as their outsourcing strategy. “While China and India will remain primary locations for organizing data processing facilities and call centers, our clients receive better value by outsourcing research, analysis and software development to Sibers”.

The 2010 Global Outsourcing 100 lists are featured in a special advertising feature of the May 2010 edition of FORTUNE® magazine. The comprehensive lists of top 100 service providers and advisors and sub-lists are available at IAOP’s Web site,

Local IT firms outsourcing lucrative European deals

April 28th, 2010

Two IT companies – IT Offshore and Grafi Offshore – established as joint ventures of Nepali and European investors have been putting their entire focus in the Netherlands and Belgium. These companies have production houses in Nepal and sales offices in Belgium and the Netherlands.

These companies specializing in software and graphic design, established by a Nepali investor in 2003 with just six IT professionals, have scaled new heights today. Fifty percent stake in IT Offshore is owned by HWB IT Services b.v.b.a of Belgium, whereas Grafi Offshore b.v. of the Netherlands owns 50 percent stake in Grafi Offshore.

Upendra Shrestha, managing director of both the companies, said they have now taken over graphic display works in all the train stations in Belgium and the Netherlands.

“We design graphics for leading publication houses and web portals in Belgium and Netherlands. We have almost taken over all the graphics and animation works of two publication companies Water´s Nordoof and Vanin,” Shrestha added.

Not only these two companies, Roularta newspaper of Belgium and some other newspapers in Europe are completely dependent on Grafi Offshore for graphic works. On its software part, the companies have developed multiple portal handling application for some insurance companies in the Netherlands and Belgium using Masento and Joomla open source system.

Started in 2003 with just six IT professionals, the two companies today hire about 100 technical hands. Though many Indian outsourcing companies crumbled during economic recession last year, IT Offshore and Grafi Offshore managed to keep its position intact.

In 2010, the company plans to expand its expertise to 3-D touchscreen animation in mobile technology and graphic works in the Netherland´s motion pictures industry. “We are in the process of acquiring additional manpower by offering attractive incentives,” Shrestha informed. He also revealed plans to explore domestic market in 2010.

But finding experienced hands for the industry is not a cakewalk. “We can directly use only two percent of about 10,000 youths that graduate in engineering and applications every year. Others need internships and short term trainings to hone their skills,” Shrestha said. The two companies also hire about 15 new faces every 3-4 months and impart necessary trainings to prepare them for the industry.

“Training for freshers is also a form of investment and it has been our priority for the past many years,” Shrestha said, adding that they have been offering incentives like provident fund and medical facilities which are not offered by other IT companies in Nepal.

IT Offshore and Grafi Offshore outsource jobs worth about Rs 50 to 60 million every year from Belgium and the Netherlands alone.

Elaborating challenges in outsourcing industry, Shrestha said load-shedding has become one of the biggest challenges for them.

“We have to complete our jobs within a given time. We have no alternative but to go for alternative power source like generators. We spend Rs 1 million to Rs 1.5 million for fuel, generator and battery backups every year,” Shrestha added. He further added that IT industry in Nepal is vulnerable as it is yet to be institutionalized.

“Apart from load-shedding, investment of illegal money and lack of healthy environment are the other challenges in the industry,” he added.

The new functionality gives BPO providers precise control over complex buy/sell transactions and reporting analytics while enabling the flexibility to deploy and administer their own customer and supplier accounts.

NewlineNoosh has introduced breakthrough outsourcing functionality for detailed management of buy and sell side transactions including margin analysis on a transaction by transaction basis. Developed with extensive input from customers, partners and NewlineNoosh’s own BPO operations team, these enhancements dramatically increase efficiencies of buying and selling print by increasing visibility and control of the entire customer request, bidding, order management and invoicing process. “NewlineNoosh technology is partnering with Workflow One to optimize and improve our sourcing capabilities and increase service to our customers. Through this partnership, we have the visibility necessary to ensure the best pricing and the most competitive supply base while streamlining the complex print procurement process.
