Dr. Tarek Kamel Egypt Communication and IT Minister started a visit to the United States at the head of a large trade mission comprising representatives of 12 firms operating in the IT field.
The visit aims at opening new cooperation areas between the two Countries.
Moreover, Minister of Communications and Technology Tarek Kamel witnessed on Tuesday 22/06/2010 the signing of three agreements with major IT firms in the US.
The deals were signed between Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and Invensys PLC, Stream Global Services and Sutherland Global Services.
The agreements will help create thousands of job opportunities in IT outsourcing.
Kamel arrived in the U.S. on Monday 21/06/2010 on a few days’ visit, during which he will partake in the US-Egyptian businessmen forum, organized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Furthermore, he is also expected to hold talks with US officials and representatives from companies on means of promoting cooperation between the two sides in communications and information technology.
