Brazil and Mexico are the countries with the higher growth in the region
Neoris, a global business and IT consulting company, is one of the IT services provider with the highest market share in Latin America, concludes Gartner, Inc. in its recently published report titled “Market Share Analysis: Regional Players Gain Increasing IT Services Market Share, Latin America, 2009,” Jason Harris, 26 April 2010.
Gartner analysts concluded: “During 2009, local Brazilian and Mexican service providers showed the strongest growth in the region, capturing an increasing market share over the multinational service providers from North America and Europe.”
Gartner estimates that Brazil represents approximately 55% of the total IT services market in Latin America followed by Mexico (18%, with a growth rate of 6.9%), Argentina (7%), and Chile (6%). The Latin America IT services market is valued at $26.5 billion.
In regards to Neoris, the report shows an increase in its market share during 2009, ranking the company among the top 20 international companies with the highest market share in the IT services industry in Latin America.
This growth was mostly driven by its stronger presence in the North American market through nearshore services during the economic recession.

Within the IT Services Market, Gartner analysts report that the only sector to see growth during 2009, at 1.5%, was IT Management, which represents 29% of the total market for this industry.
The industries that had the highest demand for services in the Latin American IT services market are sectors where Neoris has a focus: Financial Services (24.5%), Communications (21.8%), Manufacturing (10%), Retail (6.5%), and Services (6.4%), among others.
