When a business should consider hybrid cloud computing

June 27th, 2010

Hybrid Cloud Computing is an emerging strategy in a cloud computing environment. It makes use of in-house resources, together with external cloud services, either on a continuous basis or in form of a ‘cloudburst’. So a company using hybrid cloud computing, may store sensitive data on its own data centre, while making use of public and private cloud services for infrastructure and general computing.

With the use of a hybrid cloud computing model, a company can capitalise on the advantages of keeping data secure while outsourcing infrastructure and other computing services to the cloud. This enables an effective ROI, cost and ease of use benefits, while reaching a broader market. A hybrid cloud environment seamlessly integrates such external applications available on the private and public clouds, with your own in-built processes.

So it makes sense for a company to work in a hybrid cloud environment with various concurrent cloud computing strategies that combine the private and public clouds, while integrating the internal.

While every start-up and established business has some tool to manage cloud computing, to effectively gain an edge over your competitors in a cost-effective manner, you need to mash external applications with your own systems for better outreach, sales and ROI.. So if your business needs to keep control of company data that can be handled internally, while wanting a virtualised pool of public software-as-a-service for database management, marketing and computing solutions, then a hybrid cloud computing strategy is just what you need.

As a business, you will be having on-site software applications that are customised to your business. But you may additionally want to streamline and automate tasks to suit your business requirements, that may not be addressed by the software solutions you are using. You may also want to integrate external software-as-a-service processes into your on-site applications for a workable solution. This is possible with the use of such SaaS offerings from a vendor’s hybrid platform that effectively integrate into your core applications.

When should a business consider hybrid cloud computing?
As using services of vendors on the private cloud costs money, you will need to devise a strategy that helps you decide the right time to opt for hybrid cloud computing.

When your business uses e-mail marketing as a prime marketing tool, you should consider the hybrid cloud computing on-demand services of vendors like Sage. You get cost effective e-marketing tools with templates for email content, survey for feedback and drip marketing controls for automated e-marketing that integrate with your contacts and on-site systems.

To make use of social media marketing for your business promotion and development, you will want to integrate social media management Software-as-a-Service applications offered by private cloud hosts that work in tandem with your data base.

When you need to address sales and budgetary problems of marketing, you will want a hybrid cloud model that uses email within sales and marketing campaigns to complement on-site and hosted CRM systems.

To reach out to a wider audience more effectively and inexpensively, you should use a hybrid cloud model to drive sales that also manage your database and e-commerce process concurrenlty.

To create an automated sales and marketing campaign for multi-step drip marketing campaigns, you should make use of hybrid environment that integrate emails, mailers, telemarketing, direct sales with Web forms offered by public clouds, and transfer them into your existing records.

For automated list creation of your prime sales leads that lead to substantial business volume, your business should use hybrid cloud computing solutions.

To integrate your company payroll system to accounting and Human Resource applications you should turn to the hybrid cloud environment that offers Software-as-a-Service for an effective computing solution.

An app store or application marketplace will have a marquee vendor like Google, Intuit or Salesforce, to give you a fully integrated solution that works on the hybrid cloud platform to fulfil all your business needs.

Call center outsourcing calling services: the secret of success and results

June 26th, 2010

CALL CENTERr outsourcing has proved its benefits and advantages for industries. It has opened up many gateways of success and outputs for companies at affordable rates.

Call centers be it inbound call centers or outbound work 24/7 to create an uninterrupted bond with customers that eventually transforms into profitability for your business.

A few of the more advanced call centers are using newer programs that allow for much more flexibility in both the parameters involved as well as the availability of the information. With websites available 24 hours, a call center can publish a password protected web page for a client to review their reports any time they’d like.

By hooking up each individual operator’s computer terminal to a central database, information can be collected and sorted real time and sales results and trends are viewable instantly.

When changes in scripts or call parameters are made, the results can be defined as before and after without any doubt, and if a new campaign is less than effective changes can be made to it quickly. This allows for a whole new level of responsiveness on the part of the client, as they’re no longer waiting a

week to get a report that will tell them that their new script is not as effective as the old one.India, which excels in all the outsourcing hubs, has many things to its advantage such as vast English speaking population, inexpensive man power with proven expertise of working in core and non-core technical support, supportive policies of government for outsourcing to India is few to name.

What you can outsource to India on 24/7 basis:

• Answering Services • Phone Services• Up- Selling/ Cross Selling and additional benefits• Credit Cards Processing• Loan Claims / Insurance Claims
• Chat, Email Support • Directory Services• Event/ Seminar Registration• Product Management Services• Billing Services• Sales Dispatch Support
• Order Processing• Market R&D work• Telemarketing Sales• Software Development Sales and many more.

However, in modern business scenario, telemarketing business is fast evolving and becoming more structured, and there are companies that offer outbound telemarketing services which have ready infrastructure for managing all of these processes, and offer trained human resource, telephony, office systems and follow-up processes ready in place to achieve high levels of success for your business.

Being able to sort data into a usable format is another major change in call center reports. Clients can define the parameters they’d like to use for a report and then either save the set of parameters if they’d like to use it again or simply organize data a different way.

Reports can focus on age, location, product to price info, special event impact, scrip effectiveness or any other combination of data.

Having real time updates and reports that focus on what is important to the client is making reports that are much more reliable as well as flexible. The result of this flexibility is that businesses are able to sell their products more, and in this economy that’s impressive.

Steve Matthew is a business writer specializing in Outsourcing Services and has written authoritative articles on the Call Center Services and BPO Services. He is offer outsourcing services to India, voice broadcasting services and overseas services.

IT outsourcing – you have to fear him?

June 26th, 2010

Poland a few years may become a leader in outsourcing in Europe. In this sector is already about 50 thousand. Poles, and the market is estimated at 2 billion dollars. It is now twice the size of the largest market for outsourcing services in Europe – United Kingdom (100 thousand. Persons employed in the sector).

Although, as mentioned by DiS, and in 2009, the number of IT projects carried down in Europe, Poland has maintained the role of linker local IT markets, and the pace of outsourcing is in our highest.

The largest group of Polish capital in the IT industry increased last year in Central and Eastern Europe sales by about 15%. Meanwhile, last year for most companies was marked Save and budget cuts. According to many forecasts, entrepreneurs still have before them a few difficult months.

According to the KPMG study, almost 80 percent. companies operating in Poland have already taken initiatives aimed at reducing cost. So … may be developing the next plan of restructuring costs, we reflect on those activities entrusted to the hands of outsiders?

Which benefits of outsourcing?

The most commonly cited benefit of outsourcing IT staff is to reduce the cost of maintaining infrastructure in the company. But that’s not all. Currently, among the more frequently exchanged benefits dominates the possibility of organizing organizational matterswith which the company does not yet give you advice or have not had time.

This is a cleanup in the dimensions of IT infrastructure, systems, databases, hardware, as well as the internal working mechanisms, such as Management IT and security procedures.

As the economy ceases to be the most important benefit of outsourcing IT services firms is not necessarily better to entrust the cheapest, but the best specialized in specific activities.

In addition to the references they have the appropriate certificates and developed methodologies. They can perform certain services for us, not only cheaper, but much better.

Until recently it was thought that outsourcing should support areas of the easiest to use, the most troublesome and most reproducible. Typical of early outsourcing services to care for computers, printers, servers and helpdesk services.

But times are changing and customers are increasingly being hired consultants as part of professional advisory services in specific business areas.

Alien company

It is worth mentioning the concerns associated with outsourcing. Letting someone from the outside (the body leasing) to handle often very important areas of business most companies are still seen as high risk.

Especially in smaller organizations rented a person may be treated as a stranger, which may adversely affect the quality of its services and spoil the atmosphere of cooperation. The owners are afraid to leak information, and the resistance of workers, which in small structures may have different sources.

Some fear that an external company, unless they get a precise order will not be interested in placing these improvements. Entrepreneurs believe that the person hired will relate only to the records of contracts, performing work at a sufficient, minimum level. As a result, do not identify with the needs of employers and thus do not signal that a number of possible improvements to his work.

Most of the outsourcing benefit large and medium-sized enterprises. Decision-makers in smaller organizations often believe that the work that would delegate someone from the outside, they perform best. This view is mainly due to stronger needs and propensity to authoritarian governance.

The second opportunity for market services is the state administration. So far, the main customers of IT outsourcing services come from the financial and industrial sector. As predicted, however, GTS Energis, next year will bring a strong interest in outsourcing in the public sector.

The public sector is under increasing pressure from restructuring costs. By learning modern management, organizations recognize the benefits of outsourcing.

Airline it trends survey shows industry is on the road

June 26th, 2010

A record number of airlines, carrying over one billion passengers annually, took part in this year’s 12th annual SITA/Airline Business Airline IT Trends Survey which strongly supports growing optimism that the worst may be over for an industry which sustained record losses over the last two years.

Globally, 56% of the 129 responding airlines expect an increase in IT spend next year with only 10% expecting a decrease in 2011. However, the numbers of airlines stating an expected IT budget increase in highly developed markets such as Europe and North America are below the global averages.

The charge for increased spending is being led by the Asian carriers; 75% of the responding carriers in this region are confident that IT spending will increase further next year.

After year on year declines, overall airline IT budgets in 2010 have stabilised, even showing a slight increase. The operating spend this year is an average 1.8% of revenue while capital spend is 1.4%, meaning no major change from last year.

A significant number of small carriers were among the 45% who reported an increase in their IT budgets this year compared to last year. At the same time, about 50% of the airlines who stated budget decreases this year were European airlines.

Launching the 2010 Airline IT Trends today, Paul Coby, Chair of the Board, SITA, said: “The stabilizing budgets and increasing business confidence translates into a change in spending behaviour for airlines away from short-term tactical remedies needed in 2009 and a return towards long-term strategic thinking.

“After the last two incredibly difficult years there is an emphasis still on accelerating IT projects which promise an early return on investment. The majority of airlines also want to extend their partnerships with strategic IT suppliers like SITA and IT outsourcing is a major element in this.”

The survey confirms a strong ambition among airlines to implement virtualisation technologies, with the initial priority on the IT infrastructure; 40% of airlines have already created a virtual infrastructure environment and this is expected to rise to 85% by 2013. Software and desktop virtualization are the next steps in this transition.

The Airline IT Trends Survey is an independent poll of senior IT personnel working within the top 200 passenger carriers; 129 airlines responded to this year’s survey, including 14% classified as low cost carriers; 81% full service carriers; and 5% charter carriers.
