A growing number of companies are going to look at developing context-aware computing projects that are focused on user experience in the next three years, which could lead to a rise in the number of firms using IT support in London.
Figures published by Gartner have shown that 40 per cent of Global 2000 enterprises are expected to establish this type of project by this point, with context becoming as crucial to mobile services and relationships as it is on the web.
William Clark, research vice president at Gartner, claimed that it will take approximately three to seven years for a mature strategy of this type to be created.
He said: “The CIO’s role will evolve as the organisation’s use of context evolves from introducing the concept to the business, to finding early wins, to making the transition to large-scale deployments and, finally, to maturity.”
Earlier this month, IT spending estimates published by Forrester were downgraded due to the economic troubles affecting many European Union countries.
