Phoenix Health Systems, a premier provider of integrated information technology (IT) outsourcing and consulting services for healthcare organizations, announced today that it has extended its agreement with Civista Health Inc. (La Plata, Maryland), to provide information technology infrastructure outsourcing services.
Under the contract extension, Phoenix will continue to manage Civista’s Service Desk through June 2012 from its Leveraged Service Center in Dallas, Texas, while also providing an onsite team to support Civista’s desktop services. The Civista Service Desk is a 24 hours-per-day, 7 days-per-week operation designed to be responsive to care givers and administrative staff. The onsite desktop team has a clinical focus, with an emphasis on rapid resolution to critical issues in care delivery areas. The seamless integration of these two IT functions enables Civista to plan and manage its IT infrastructure to better meet the needs of the user community and improve patient care.
“Phoenix’s IT support model is focused on responsiveness to clinicians which allows our care delivery team to receive assistance from IT when they need it most,” said Mark E. DeVault, Interim CIO, Civista Health Inc. “This approach has led to higher satisfaction rates for IT from our clinical staff and brings greater value to our overall IT operations.”
“Phoenix is extremely pleased that Civista Health Inc. has extended our IT partnership,” said Darin LeGrange, President and CEO, Phoenix Health Systems. “Civista Health is dedicated to improving the health status of families and individuals throughout Southern Maryland, and Phoenix is proud to partner with them in support of that goal. We look forward to exceeding Civista’s expectations and continuing to improve the end user experience for all hospital personnel.”
