Infy wins award for strategic engagement

Infosys Technologies Limited today announced that it has been awarded the 2010 Force of Ideas Award at the Corporate Strategy and Finance Board Summit hosted by the Corporate Executive Board, USA in Washington D.C.

This award recognizes management practices that redefine the way companies do business, creating sustainable value for organizations, said a press release. Infosys has been awarded this honor under the category of ‘Strategic Engagement’ for its unique strategic planning methods engaging all stakeholders.

The Indian IT giant had been recently named by Oracle to the highest ranking partner category called Diamond Level at the Oracle OpenWorld 2010. Infosys was also named as a leader in applications outsourcing (AO) among North American AO providers in the Forrester Research report entitled, ‘The Forrester Wave: North American Applications Outsourcing, Q3 2010′. it had also won Oracle Titan Partner Award.

On receiving the Force of Ideas Award, Sanjay Purohit, vice president and head – Corporate Planning and Business Assurance, Infosys said, “It is an honor to be selected and recognized as a leader in corporate strategy amongst other leading organizations. At Infosys, our efforts are always directed towards enabling business innovation. Wipro wins oracle north america titan award at oracle openworld 2010

Connextions earns top contact center industry award

Connextions Inc. earned three honors in the 2010 Top Ranking Performers in the Contact Center Industry “Americas” competition. Hosted by contactcenterworld.com, the competition drew several hundred entries from business process outsourcing (BPO) organizations throughout the North, Central and South America region.

Mahindra Satyam BPO gets award

Mahindra Satyam BPO, business process outsourcing arm of Mahindra Satyam, has received ‘India’s Most Customer Responsive BPO Company’ award, which is instituted by business daily the ‘Economic Times’, Ernst & Young and Nielsen.

It was presented by Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Maken and received by CEO of Mahindra Satyam BPO Vijay Rangineni, a statement issued by the company said.

Based on a robust methodology spanning over three months, involving an online poll, customer interviews and a jury meeting, the award carries tremendous credibility and is one of the most coveted in India Inc, Mahindra Satyam said in release.

Nominated organisations were evaluated on parameters such as responsiveness, intelligence generation and dissemination, customer education, top management emphasis, innovation, learning and technology enabling customer-responsiveness, it said.

Wipro wins Nasscom Award for process innovation

Wipro Technologies has been awarded the Nasscom IT Innovation award in the Process Innovation category for the year 2009 at the NASSCOM India Leadership Forum 2010. The firm has received this award for its innovative application services model—Cigma (Centre for Integrated Global Management of Applications).

Cigma enables customers to manage IT outsourcing engagements through business-linked KPI’s rather than traditional IT SLA’s.

The Nasscom Innovation awards are given to companies to showcase their innovation and to encourage innovative practices across the IT-ITES industry.
